1, 2, 3…100! A record number of iPosterSessions Screens

As part of our 5-year contract with the NIH (National institutes of Health) IDeA program, we set up no less than 100 iPoster screens for this year’s national event: NISBRE 2018.

NISBRE stands for the National IDeA Seminar for Biomedical Research Excellence. It is a national scientific meeting to showcase the scientific and training accomplishments of the IDeA program of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) of the NIH. The IDeA program develops scientific centers of excellence and trains biomedical scientists in the 23 IDeA eligible states.

Undergrads, grad students, post-docs and faculty presented their research over the course of three days at the Wardman hotel in Washington DC. It was a great experience for all.

Here’s how it all came together…

1,000 iPosters from 80 countries

The 2018 World Ophthalmology Congress  – WOC2018  was hosted in Barcelona, Spain. The WOC is a yearly meeting hosted by the International council of Ophthalmology. This year’s event showcased 1000 multimedia iPosters by authors from 80 countries. 4 large format screens for moderated Pod sessions plus 20 interactive screens in the Poster Pavilion for in-depth browsing.

We are the stuff of stars

We just spent 3 wondrous days with the American Astronomical Society and an amazing bunch of scientists working towards understanding the universe and all that lies within… and beyond.

Fatastic iPoster presentations on White Dwarfs, Black Holes, Molecular Clouds, Supernovae, Instrumentation, Education & much more. Awesome is a much overused word, but entirely appropriate in this case.

In praise of a colleague

We just got back from Hollywood Florida and our first assignment for the Institute for Functional Medicine – a 5 day conference on Solving the Puzzle of Autoimmunity: the Interplay of Gut, Genes, and Environment.

It’s not often that we toot our own horn, but we wanted to share this letter we received from our client, in praise of our colleague, Isak.

We asked her if it was OK to publish and she  said “…yes, feel free to use my name and words on your website. I’m delighted to promote a great service and company!”

Dear Isak,

I wanted to write and tell you what an excellent, excellent job you did for us at the IFM Annual International Conference in Hollywood, Florida. You were prepared, knowledgeable, outgoing and on point for every question and every instance that presented. You were not only engaged in the technology aspects but with the presenters and IFM staff as well.

I so appreciate your willingness to track all of the presenters and get the releases we need for future use of their materials. It made my job much easier. In sum, I’ve never worked with a more competent, professional project manager!

Conferencia Científica Regional de las Américas

We just returned from Cartagena, Colombia, where we continued our work with TEPHINET – at their 10th Regional Scientific Conference of the Americas.

TEPHINET is the Training Programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Network. Based in Atlanta, they collaborate with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to support the development of field epidemiology programs and regional networks around the world.

This is our third year of working with TEPHINET, and after assignments in Paraguay, Thailand, and Atlanta, we were back with them in South America.

The conference was organised in collaboration with Instituto Nacional de Salud de Colombia, FETP Colombia, and REDSUR, the South American field epidemiology training program network.

The iPosters – in Spanish and Portuguese – were presented in moderated oral sessions and then on HD interactive screens for browsing and more discussion. There were great presentations by authors from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, and the US.
