The Eastern Vascular Society 35th Annual Meeting

We had the privilege to work alongside Well Assembled Meetings at the Eastern Vascular Society 35th Annual Meeting in Late September.

This event was particularly exciting for us because it was a truly hybrid experience. It was our first chance to meet face-to-face since the pandemic stopped in-person meetings 20 months ago.

Once again participants were able to interact with iPosters both live at the venue and virtually from the comfort of their own homes and offices. Our project manager, Joe, provided onsite support during the event and had this to say:

‘Visitors and presenters alike seemed to really enjoy being back at an in-person event, being able to network and discuss their research face to face.’

Ocean Sciences 2020

We just finished up work at  Ocean Sciences 2020  in San Diego. Organized by AGU – the American Geophysical Union, ASLO – the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography, and TOS – the Oceanography Society, it featured 180 eLightning talks and touch screen presentations on our iPoster platform. They covered the promises, challenges, and wonders of the world’s oceans.  And they created quite a buzz at the meeting.

Biomedical Research Excellence

We’re in Wichita Kansas at the annual research symposium for K-INBRE – the Kansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence. 160 outstanding Kansas biomedical students and scientists presented their research on 40 55″ interactive touch screens.

K-INBRE is funded by the National Institutes of Health and administered by the Kansas University Medical Center. It comprises nine academic institutions in Kansas, including the University of Kansas and the Haskell Indian Nations University. A key goal of the K-INBRE program is to identify and recruit promising undergraduate science students into careers in biomedical research in Kansas.

iPoster Plus and the Radcliffe Wave at AAS 235

We’re in Honolulu for the American Astronomical Society’s winter meeting. Our iPoster Plus format has really caught on: moderated oral sessions using all of the dynamic, interactive, multimedia functions that the iPoster system can deliver.

A great example of this is Alyssa Goodman’s iPoster Plus presentation on the Radcliffe Wave.  Alyssa, Astronomy Professor at Harvard and co-director of Science at the Radcliffe Institute, presented an amazing discovery: a monolithic, wave-shaped gaseous structure — the largest ever seen in our galaxy — made up of interconnected stellar nurseries:https://bbc.com/news/science-environment-51021704

iPosterSessions at AGU 2019 – where Science Matters

The annual American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting is the largest international Earth and Space science meeting in the world, with annual attendance of  30,000 scientists, students, educators, and other stakeholders from around the globe.

The 2019 meeting was the culmination of AGUs Centennial year and was our third year of working with AGU. Over 900 iPosters were presented in back-to-back two-hour sessions on all five days. Authors first presented their research in three-minute moderated eLightning talks in one of three large-screen HD theaters. Presenters then dispersed to 60 pre-assigned large-format interactive touch screens for in-depth discussions with attendees. Smaller screens for individual exploration and spontaneous meetings were also available in the eLightning Pavilion.
